Tacos, Cake and Weed Whippers

These are Alex's favorite massive street tacos. Can you guess why they're his favorite? :) I stay clear of street food as much as possible. I'll take his word for it that they taste good!

This is a yummy pineapple cake that Mandy made. Cake is my favorite thing here :) YUM

Alex borrowed a weed whipper from his uncle...one tug on the string and it snapped. This is him taking is part and attempting to "fix" it. It was a little trickier than he thought and gave us a good laugh.

Aqua!

This is the women's gym right across from Alex's house. I took the picture from the roof. I go in the evening with Alex's cousins and Aunt. It's really fun! I had my first spin class EVER, and it was super hard! They also have Zumba and some other other stuff. Good times.

This is my gym membership...I've seen my name spelt a lot of ways..but never quite like this. :)

Home away from Home

I thought I would take a few pictures of some places in Valle Hermoso. Here is the De La Rosa house. "Estafeta" is the mail service they run from their house(so that's the office in the front). Our bedroom is upstairs.

Last Cancun Post :)

We liked staying on the beach at our hotel in Cancun..but REALLY missed our all-inclusive resort in Playa Del Carmen :( Paying for food sucks! haha It was nice though because we were close to shopping and lot's of restaurants.

A Beautiful Beach

I just had to post some pictures of this beach! We took an awesome Tour our last day in Cancun and part of it took us to Tulum. On top of the cliff are the awesome Mayan Temples, but then over the cliff was the most beautiful beach I have ever seen. There were stairs that went down to it, so we got to play in the water and enjoy it a bit that day. Our pictures don't do it justice though!

San Antonio

(This is a bit out of order, but that's ok) We visited Rocio(Alex's aunt) and her family in San Antonio for a couple of days after our trip in Cancun. She took us to the Alamo, and through the "River walk." It's a cool river that winds through a street full of restaurants, trees and birds. We ate at "Joe's Crab Shack right on the river..and I managed to eat another LARGE portion of crab :) It's a fun little place!

Cancun!!!

So we just got back from a great time in Playa Del Carmen and Cancun! Alex, me, Mom and Nicole all stayed for a week at a great resort right beside Xcaret! It was massive and was totally surrounded by beautiful vegetation and wildlife.

We played on the beach, ate a TON of food ( all inclusive-ya! ), and watched some good...and some lame shows :) put on by the resort. We drank pina coladas, played lot's of volleyball, and even did Yoga on the beach. It wasn't always hot and sunny, but we caught as many rays as we could...changing the position of our chairs every hour to always be in the sun :)- except for Alex, who was always trying to be the shade. haha.

We also went to Xcaret and toured around before watching the fantastic Xcaret show (which Alex's cousin was a dancer in).

Our resort was close to the city of Playa Del Carmen, so we were able to play on the beach there, and do some fun shopping and eating out to!

It was so much fun to spend time all together and make some great memories in such a beautiful place. Thanks Mom and Nicole for joining us! We loved it!

We just got back from spending 2 days in Brownsville and South Padre Island. It was a lot of fun! Everything is super cheap in Texas! We stayed at a hotel right on the water, with a pool and hot tub over looking the beach for $50.00!...Texas is ridiculously cheap. We played on the beach and played with our camera most of the time! We also went to an all you can eat seafood buffet called Louis Backyard, also right on the water. I ate 20 snow crab legs... It may have been the best and biggest meal of my life.

So these are a couple of pictures from our trip to Monterrey last week. We just went for a day to get Alex's medical done there, but we were able to spend the evening shopping and visiting a beautiful park. The city is cool because it is built and kind of tucked into the mountains in some areas.

South Padre Island

We were able to go to South Padre Island for a quick look at the ocean...FINALLY (What I have been waiting for!) It wasn't sunny and warm, but still very fun. We had a great time with our new camera too.

Mexican Weddings...

I was totally exhausted after the TEN HOURS of wedding celebrations on Saturday! There was tons of food, dancing, kissing and visiting. We had a great time! These are just a couple pictures from the wedding.

The people here have been very welcoming and kind to me. We went to visit one of Alex's Aunts, who gave me this hand made Mexican dress. Another Aunt sang me the song "Oh Holy Night" in Spanish when I first met her. These loving gestures really touch my heart and make me feel a Spirit of love and kindness.

Does anyone want to Skype tonight? Send me a message what time and I will meet you there!
We set up the sticky wall in the backyard! We want to sell it...any takers? :)

Picking yummy fruit!

Alex has 5 trees in his backyard: grapefruit, orange, mandarin, pecan and mango! We picked lot's of oranges. Ari and Ocell are Alex's niece and nephew and were our little helpers. They are very cute, and it's fun to try to communicate with them in Spanish.
